Chicken

Chicken are birds that have been bred specifically for their eggs and their meat. The chicken industries (broiler industry for meat and layer industry for eggs) use breeds which have been genetically selected for maximum efficiency and profitability.

Many people keep chickens as pets for eggs or meat.
